Polyethylene (PE) waxes are obtained through the polymerization of ethylene, they have excellent physical-chemical resistance characteristics when compared to natural and paraffinic waxes. In industry, polyethylene waxes belong to the plastics sector, they play an important role in this field and have many applications.
One of the most used methods for the application of waxes is through aqueous emulsions. These provide hardness, gloss, abrasion resistance, resistance to scratching and marks, anti blocking, improve touch, lubrication, among other properties.
Applications: polishes for floors, polishes for footwear, leather and textiles, varnishes and inks, lubricants and cast release agents
